Doppler Ultrasound

Ultrasound is soundwave technology that produces images of the area being examined. Most women and well acquainted with ultrasound, as this test is frequently used throughout pregnancy to check the health of the fetus, and to view the health of a woman’s breast, uterus and ovaries from time to time throughout her life.

 Ultrasound testing is also used to test for thyroid and gallbladder disease, along with many other medical conditions. The test is safe and painless. During the procedure a water-based gel is applied to the target area, and then a hand-held device is then pressed gently against the skin and glided over the area being imaged.
